I have been working since I was 15 years old. I started in graphic design, and after some traveling outside the Netherlands, I went back to school and studied English Language and Literature, as well as a course called ‘Languages and Cultures of Latin America’, at the University of Leiden. This was followed by a degree in ‘Translation Studies’, at the University of Amsterdam. I have spent 35 years as a freelance translator, writer, and designer. Since 1989, I have also delved into programming, with the goal of creating an app for translators and writers.
I have been involved with Managed Grid from the very beginning. I designed the logo and built the first website. I mainly do graphic work and also provide various kinds of assistance for Tim and Ron. It is always exciting to see what the people at Managed Grid will come up with next. It is a very innovative company that seamlessly fits in with this era, and it is both thrilling and enjoyable to be involved with it.
