I started my professional career at PEN (Alliander) in the high voltage unit and at PNEM (Enexis) in the 150kV stations and 10kV distribution networks. In 2000, I moved to the technical service provider GTI (Equans). There, I was first responsible for setting up the Business Unit Energy Distribution. For a number of years now, I am responsible for the Business Unit Asset Management of energy systems as well as assets in the mobility world such as: tunnels, bridges and locks. Recently, I have taken on the commercial responsibility for Equans Infra & Mobility, of which Smart Grid Flevoland is one of our energy solutions.
Energy solutions (the Dutch electricity grid) are under increasing pressure. Problems on the grid arise from both the increase in renewable energy sources and from the sustainability of heat supply, mobility and expansion of business activities. Grid congestion is a current and urgent problem for many parties. Sustainability initiatives are delayed or even abruptly put "on hold". It is high time to join forces and come up with smart solutions. Are you looking for a partner who can guide you in finding and implementing a solution? Then Equans is the right partner for you. Working together on the energy transition energy solutions offer an integral result, in which we look at the entire process around sustainable energy and goes beyond just connecting a solar farm, battery or customer. We conduct technical and commercial research and can identify the necessary legal and contractual issues. With Equans as an integrator, you will arrive at the best solution so that different parties and systems can work together.
In addition, we also provide the realization, integration and installation of the different systems through smart software! Future-proof solutions by energy solutions keep the energy transition going in a smart way and prevent delays. Equans focuses on integrating energy systems and smart grids are a good example of this.
Smart grids for the generation of renewable energy. It involves solutions in which the generation is clustered behind one connection of the grid operator. The goal is to deliver the generated energy in balance back to the grid so that the local grid is less (or even not at all) burdened. This can be done through a closed distribution system or via cable pooling. Connection behind the meter of a large consumer is also possible via a direct line.
